If you purchase an energy-efficient product or renewable energy systems for your home federal tax credits are available at 30% of the cost, up to $1,500 until 12/31/10. This includes new HVAC, insulation, hot water heater, windows and doors!

In Illinois rebates of 15%, marked down at the point of sale, on qualified appliances (clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers) will be available starting on April 16th (Earth Day) through April 25th, 2010. In addition mail-in rebate of $50-100 will be available upon pick-up and recycling of the old unit!
