A typical home energy audit takes 3-4 hours
What is an Energy Audit?
Eco Energy Audits offers several different levels of audits to suit you particular needs – see the "services" tab for more information. A typical home energy audit takes 3-4 hours time at the house and then a report is generated within two days.

Each audit starts with a walk through of the house with the homeowner to examine the house and discuss areas of interest. Then an outside inspection of the house examines the home's orientation, windows, shade trees, property drainage, doors, and foundation are examined. The audit then moves inside the house and the basement, living area, and attic are measured and insulation levels and thermal boundary are inspected. An inventory of the type, size, number, and placement of windows is done.

The house is prepped and the Door Blower and Duct Blaster tests are performed. A thermal scan is done while the Door Blower is running to help identify problem areas and give a visual idea of the size exact and locations of the leaks. A customized report is then generated using the information gathered from the audit.
